The City of Lexington's Ordinance pertaining to peddlers and solicitors has been updated and is available for viewing at City Hall.  The new ordinance will delay the solicitor's permit to allow for a more thorough background check and a permit history check within the City of Lexington.

As a reminder, registration by the City does not endorse any service or product.  Solicitors are given a floursecent green registration label that has been given an expiration date.  Residents should always ask to see this registration.  If none can be produced, or if the solicitor fails to leave when asked, notify the City (365-3331) during business hours, or call 309-888-5030 to report the solicitor to the Lexington Police Department.

"No Solicitors Invited" decals are available for purchase at City Hall for $1.00.
