Discussion on the latest Wind Turbine Proposal will take place at the next City Council meeting, Monday, March 12th at 7pm.  The meeting will be held at the Lexington City Hall.  Please follow the links for the proposal and map.

Notice of Public Information Meeting

City of Lexington

Public Meeting Date: January 22, 2018

Time: 7:00 P. M.

Location: Lexington High School Gymnasium

Purpose: Public Discussion of Invenergy (McLean County Wind Energy LLC.) Wind Farm Project with 18 proposed wind energy turbines and other ancillary project improvements to be located within 1.5 miles of the corporate limits of the City of Lexington.

The public is invited by the Mayor and City Council of Lexington to attend this public meeting for the purpose of providing general information to the public and to allow public members the opportunity to comment on such issues regarding the economic, aesthetic, and environmental impacts of the project and any other pertinent issues regarding the project. If present at the meeting, representatives of from Invenergy (McLean County Wind Energy LLC.) and representatives from local taxing bodies will have the opportunity to provide relevant information regarding the project and to respond to questions presented to them.

The Invenergy final site plan for the 18 wind energy turbines with other ancillary project improvements and Invenergy’s Compensation and Waiver of Siting Authority Agreement offered to the City of Lexington are available for public review at the Lexington City Hall during regular business hours.

The regular City Council Meeting will be held immediately following the close of the above-described Public Meeting.
