The opening of Kelly's on 66 ( is an exciting time for Lexington. This landmark location will bring life back to the Rt 66/Main Street area.

The City will accept sealed bids for the sale of surplus personal property until 3:00pm, Monday, November 13, 2017 at the office of the City Clerk, City of Lexington, City Hall.

The temporary stop signs that were put in the center of the Main Street and Cedar Street intersection have been removed.  This was done in preparation of the winter season.  Please use caution at this intersection and know that the stop signs will be strictly enforced.

Please join us in welcoming Governor Bruce Rauner as he takes his Annual Governor’s Ride to Springfield on Rt 66. 

Governor Bruce Rauner has chosen Lexington as one of his two stops along his Rt 66 tour and will be in Lexington on Saturday, September 23rd from approximately 12pm-2pm.

The Governor will be joined by 500 or more motorcycles to honor Lexington’s American Legion Veterans and First Responders.
