Experience Christmas on the Prairie in Lexington, December 2nd beginning at 9am and going until 8pm. The event starts out at the Lexington School with our vendor fair...which also includes Breakfast with Santa, a children’s shopping area and fresh Christmas tree & wreath sale until 2pm. Following the activities at the school, continue to Main St. in beautiful downtown Lexington to shop our local businesses and grab a bite to eat at one of the many local restaurants. The afternoon continues with free peppermint hot chocolate, holiday crafts, fine art display & sale, festival of barrel-aged beer, Lexington Chamber of Commerce’s Festival of Trees, Main St. & City Park tree lighting ceremony, evening carriage rides down Main St., live Christmas music, wine & cheese pairing event & many more activities still being planned.

Please joins us for some free ghoulish games, freaky fun and frightening food!

There will be a costume contest with awards given to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place.  
Categories:  3yr and under, 4yr-Kindergarten, 1st-3rd grade, 4th-7th grade (Homemade or Purchased) and Groups.

First place winners from each category will be judged for the GRAND PRIZE!  
Costume Contest Check In - 2:00pm
Contest Begins Promptly - 3:30pm

There will be a free hot dog dinner after the contest.

Trick or Treat City Wide Hours will follow the party from 5pm-8pm


The opening of Kelly's on 66 ( is an exciting time for Lexington. This landmark location will bring life back to the Rt 66/Main Street area.

Dat Bar ( another landmark local business that offers friendly service and sandwiches that will make you want to come back for more. This has been a local favorite for a lot of years, stop in and you will see why.

Shake Shack ( who can come to Lexington and not stop at the world famous Shake Shack? From their fresh hamburgers to their chicken fried chicken dinner to the best ice cream in the can't go wrong.
